Altered Egos

Bernard brings Anne a new girlfriend to Cicely. Trouble starts when she can't tell the difference between a kiss from Bernard and a kiss from Chris. Chris starts to see Bernard as an existential threat but with a little help from Shelly he realizes that Bernard and himself really are different people.
When Joel loses his wallet in The Brick he spirals into his own existential crisis. He feels he is losing his identity. Joel begins a desperate attempt to rediscover his New York identity by renting New York movies and ordering food from Zabars. Joel is in the pits of despair but when his video breaks he regains his lost New Yorker identity.
Marilyn goes out on a date with Ted and then unexpectedly dumps him. Joel gets angry when he finds out she has been looking in the medical records to screen her dates.
