Grosse Point

Maggie and Joel embark on a trip to Maggie's parents house in Grosse Point Detroit for her Grandmas 80th Birthday. Joel is at first reluctant to come on the trip but Maggie bribes him with Detroit Pistons tickets.
Joel meets Jeffy and Maggie's puzzeling family and they discover that Grandma has locked herself in the bathroom. Maggie spends the day trying to convince her to leave the bathroom. Joel has a philosophical conversation with reverend Harding. Joel plays basketball with Maggie's ex-boyfriend and then the ex-boyfriend has a heart attack and is taken away in an ambulance.
Stephy leaves Jeffy and Jeffy can't believe it. Grandma wants to meet Joel and she tells him she has never met a Jewish person before. Grandma eventually comes out of the bathroom and Jane O'Connell tells her she has ruined the party.
