It is Thanksgiving celebrated as The Day of The Dead. Joel discovers through a letter that he owes the
state of Alaska a fifth year of medical service. Joel becomes very depressed and dreams he is
Sisiphus pushing a rock up a hill for all eternity. Marilyn tells Joel about the story of Death and
the pumpkin seed.
Chris remembers the best Thanksgiving he ever had in the State Penitentiary and has
a radio call in from some old friends.
Maggie warms to Mike as he frets about the poisons which afflict him.
