A young German master craftsman named Rolf Hauser comes to Cicely to install Maurice's new Augsburg clock.
Maurice and Rolf nearly come to blows over the time piece. Maurice gets upset when he discovers
that the expensive time piece does not keep perfect time. Rolf and Holling convince Maurice
that you can not grab hold of time no matter how hard you try and that the clock has its
own value regardless.
Chris runs over mathematician Amy Lochner's dog and soon discovers the wonders of Pi. Unfortunately
for Chris their romance is not to be as he soon kills a second pet.
Ed befriends Rolf Hauser.
