The sun in Cicely shines for 24-hours a day and Joel becomes light loony. He is
pumped full of energy and so he decides to take on a new assignment. Coaching the
local Cicely basketball team the 'Quarks'. Joel forgets to sleep for days and is amazed
at his new found energy. He coaches the team with everything he has got in order to
beat Sleetmute. Unfortunately for Joel however he never sees the game because
he collapses in a heap an exhausted wreck.
A travelling salesman named Gillis Toomey arrives in town and gives Ruth-Anne a start when
he asks for her hand in marriage. Toomey and his travelling trailer full of garments is a hit
with the residents.
