Shelly's mother Tammy Tambo drops in so that she can show off her new husband. Tammy has told her new husband Kenny that Shelly is her older sister. Shelly and Tammy have it out and in the end Tammy tells Shelly that she is sorry for not being a proper mother. Shelly however thinks she is lucky to have a mother as a best friend.

A baby is found alone in Joel's waiting room. The town adopt the baby but Joel is troubled by how a mother could abandon a baby. Eventually however the mother returns to claim the baby.

Adam tells Joel that he feels strange and not like himself. He feels happy. Joel tells Adam that he is suffering from Couvade Syndrome or sympathetic pregnany.
