Animals 'R' Us

A friendly malamute follows Maggie around Cicely. Maggie feels like she has known the beautiful dog from before. Joel gets bitten twice by the dog and Holling justifies it by saying that Rick never really warmed up to Joel. Maggie soon realizes that the dog shares some of Rick's old habits such as jumping on Rick's stool at Holling's bar and eating beef jerky just like Rick did. Maggie is at first reluctant to think of the dog as being Rick. However when she asks the dog if he is in fact Rick to bark three time the dog promptly does so. Maggie then becomes convinced that the dog is Rick. Everyone in town seems to agree with her except Joel who thinks she is nuts.
Marilyn owns a herd of ostriches which lay gigantic eggs. When Maurice sees the size of the eggs he also sees dollar signs. He tries to go into business with Marilyn but things don't work out when Marilyn discovers that the ostriches don't like Maurice and refuse to lay giant eggs.
Ed's film editing equipment arrives at Ruth Anne's but later Ed agonizes over the finished product and wants to pull the plug on his film. At the end of the show Ed makes a new film about Cicely and he shows it to the town.
