The townsfolk of Cicely go a bit crazy when they wait for the ice to break heralding the start
of spring. Some of the citizens go into sexual over-drive and engage in all sorts of personally
aberrant behaviour. Shelly for example starts to read a book ! Joel and Maggie get
a bit wild romantically to their equal confusion.
Maurice goes mental when his radio is stolen along with some others from around the
town. He calls in Sergeant Semanski a by-the-book state trooper who takes no nonsense
in to solve the case. Maurice however falls in love with the brute of a woman and tries
to engage her affections for him. Ed meanwhile attempts to solve the case himself and
becomes a detective of sorts.
Holling meanwhile is itching for a fight but finds no takers until he discovers Sergeant Semanski
is a boxing champ.
At the end of the episode the men of Cicely engage in the "Running of the Bulls" where they
run down the main street naked in the freezing cold.
