Two visiting Japanese business-men meet up with Maurice with the aim of building a resort in Alaska.
Joel thinks that he can obtain a reduction in his sentence by courting the business-men with Maurice
with the aim of becoming the "attending physician". In the hope of reaching this goal Maurice and Joel
end up laying astro-turf in the middle of the wilderness and succumb to playing golf in the pouring rain.
Shelly and Holling have troubles of their own when Shelly announces she is pregnant. Holling doesn't
take the news well at first but then agrees to marry her but instead leaves her standing at the altar.
Maurice is another one who is upset by the impending new arrival as he ponders the problem of why
Shelly left him for Holling in the first place. Joel and Maggie continue their problematic relationship
as they bicker over the wedding arrangements.
